Using proficiency based progression and the metrics (steps, errors and critical errors ) for Health Huddle training provides clarity of approach and highlights the importance of feedback and deliberate practice rather than repeated practice.

We were delighted to welcome Dr John Fitzsimons, member of the PROTECT research team, to Cork University Hospital last Friday. Dr Fitzsimons provided training to our new research assistants on the IHI trigger tool for the upcoming retrospective chart review.
We also visited the study ward, 4B, where CNM Breda Delaney gave some feedback on the progress of their safety huddle and it’s impact to date.

We have reached another milestone in our project. The MDT staff from ward 4B have completed their online and simulation training.
